Philosophy Purity Made Simple Mask

Today I’m sharing my thoughts on the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Mask after using it for a few months now.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Mask

Philosophy has a great reputation when it comes to skincare. I have yet to use one of their products that I didn’t really like. Needless to say, I had high expectations when I started using the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Mask. I’m happy to say that it’s lived up to my expectations. According to the packaging, this mask contains sea salts, marine extracts, and vitamin E. I know vitamin E is good for skin, so I was excited when I saw that was included.

First off, my favorite thing about this mask is that it’s super quick to use. You only have to leave it on for 60 seconds before you take it off. As a result, it’s perfect for those nights when I’m tired and ready to get into bed. Because it’s not on your skin for too long, it doesn’t harden like a lot of other masks, so it’s easier to take off. I typically use it after cleanser but before toner and moisturizer.

As far as how my skin feels after I’ve used it, my face feels soft and clean without any dry or tight feeling. I hate when my skin feels like that after any skincare product, and don’t think it’s good for my skin either. I’ve found that it’s gentle enough for my skin to use a couple times every week.

While I still have about half of it left, I already know that I’ll be buying this again. I like that it take a minimal amount of time to do for a mask. I also like how it leaves my skin feeling clean. You can find the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Mask at your local Sephora store or online here for $25 (affiliate like).

EOS Strawberry Sorbet and Sweet Mint Lip Balm

Today I’m reviewing EOS lip balm in Strawberry Sorbet and Sweet Mint.

EOS Lip Balm

First off, I have to admit that I’ve never tried EOS lip balm. Ever. I’ve used lots of other brands, but never EOS. I’m a huge lip balm user. As a result, I was kind of excited to be able to give these two EOS lip balms a try.

I hate when my lips feel dry, so I feel like I’m applying it all the time. It’s probably more like every few hours though. I have one on my desk, one on my night stand, one in my bag – you get the idea. I currently have these two on my desk.

EOS Lip Balm

I’m huge fan of the scent of the Strawberry Sorbet EOS lip balm. It smells like strawberries without being too over the top or fake. Both of these lip balms go on clear and don’t provide much shine. I felt like they kept my lips feeling moisturized for a fair amount of time, a few hours or so. Of course I had to apply a bit more often if I was eating or drinking.

EOS Sweet Mint Lip Balm

I typically don’t go for mint things (the smell and flavor is usually too strong for my liking), but I was pleasantly surprised that I like the Sweet Mint one. Maybe I need to give minty things – whatever they are – more of a chance.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the shape of the lip balm. I know it’s a signature for EOS,but it made putting it in my pocket a bit of a pain because it looked weird and bulgy. In addition, it was tough to get enough coverage in just a few swipes until the top of the lip balm was flatter. Really, those are just nitpicky things and overall I was happy with the actual formula of the lip balm.

EOS Strawberry Sorbet and Sweet Mint Lip Balm can be found at your local drugstore for about $4 each or online Strawberry Sorbet or Sweet mint (affiliate links).

I received both of these EOS lip balms from for free in exchange for a free review. This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for supporting my blog, I appreciate it!
