Origins Night-A-Mins Renewal Cream

Today I’m sharing a review of Origins Night-A-Mins Renewal Cream.

Origins Night A Mins Renewal Cream

I got a sample size of Origins Night-A-Mins Renewal Cream in the Sephora Favorites Beauty Sleep box. So far I’ve really liked all the products I’ve gotten in that box, so if you have a chance to get it, go for it. I think it’s a great price for quantity and quality of items in the box. Although it’s only a sample size, it has lasted me several weeks, so you really get an idea of how this product will work for you long term.

While the packaging doesn’t say that it’s specifically for moisturizing, that’s what I use it for. It’s a thicker cream, which is great because I feel like I need to use less of it than if it was a thinner cream. I found that it absorbed quickly into my skin without making my skin feel oily or greasy. As a result it doesn’t take long before I can put my makeup on top of it when I’m getting ready in the morning.

I think my favorite thing about the Origins Night-A-Mins Renewal Cream is the scent. While it’s not overpowering, it smells great. It’s more of a unique smell, but in a good way. Sometimes scents can cause a reaction with my sensitive skin, but this one didn’t.

All in all, I will definitely be buying this again once I’ve finished it. It moisturizes well (even in the winter months when my skin is typically drier) and the scent is great. Although it’s not an inexpensive product, I think it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a product to splurge on during the winter, I’d go with this one.

Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Lotion

I’m a huge fan of Nivea products, so I was looking forward to trying this out. As a result, my expectations were high.

Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Lotion

Nivea Firming Body Lotion contains Q10, Creatine, and L-Carnitine. The label claims that with continued use over two weeks it “improves the feeling of skin firmness”.

I found the Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Lotion for normal skin to absorb quickly. It wasn’t greasy at all. I found myself wishing that the formula was a bit thicker than it was. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the consistency, I did like the scent.

As for the packaging, I really liked the pump bottle that it came in. Like most people, I prefer pumps over tubs that require using my fingers instead.

In terms of the firming claims, I didn’t see a difference. I’m not surprised, as I wasn’t expecting a visible difference. However, when it comes to moisturizing, I found that it did a great job.

I tend to have dry hands, elbows, and heels, so I’m always looking for something to work on those trouble spots. My skin felt hydrated and moisturized for hours at a time. I found that I got the best effect applying it right after getting out of the shower in the morning.

Although I didn’t notice a difference in firming, I would still buy this body lotion for it’s moisturizing properites. I also think that it’s a great price for the amount of product you get, so it’s a great value.

Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Lotion is available at your local drugstore for $11 or online here (affiliate link).

Moisturizer, Skincare

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30

Today I’m reviewing the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 – specifically the normal to oily skin version.

eraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30

I have sensitive skin, so this brand was recommended to me as something to try that would be gentle on my skin. I was having problems with my skin reacting to another brand of moisturizer, so I was in the market for a new kind. Trying a new skincare brand is something that makes me nervous because I never know how my skin will react to it.  So far though I’m really liking it and I’ve had zero reactions to it, which was a big relief.

First off, I like that it’s in a pump bottle. It makes it easier to get the exact amount out that I want. In addition I feel like it’s cleaner than a pot of moisturizer that I’d have to use my fingers to get it out. I also like that the bottle takes up little room on my bathroom counter. I think everyone is looking for more room in there.

I typically put it on after using cleanser as well as any time throughout the day that my face feels dry. My chin tends to get dry, so I frequently put it there and I feel like it really does help. I also like that it has broad spectrum SPF protection built into it. If I know I’m going to be spending the day in the sun I’ll put a stronger SPF sunscreen on top, but otherwise I like that moisturizer and sunscreen is in one step.

The CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 is only available in a 89 mL pump bottle. Mine has lasted me more than six months though, so I think it’s a great size. you also don’t need to use a lot – a little does a long way. It doesn’t take long to absorb into my skin, so it’s nice that this skincare step doesn’t take a lot of time.

It can be found at drugstores for around $20 or online here (affiliate link).
