Sephora Favorites Beauty Sleep

Today I’m sharing the products in the Sephora Favorites Beauty Sleep box.

Sephora Favorites Beauty Sleep Box

Last weekend I ended up buying a few things from Sephora, so I thought I’d share one of them with you today. I’m currently all about the skincare (my focus recently is to make my skin as healthy as I can), so I decided to buy the Sephora Favorites Beauty Sleep box. It comes with 7 mini sized skincare products that you use at night (though a few say on their labels that they can also be used in the morning).

What does this box include?

Although I have tried a few of these brands in the past, all of these products are new to me. In that regard, this was the perfect box for me to try. Getting to try mini sizes of these products allows me to pick my favorites and then buy the full sized versions of them.

So far the only one that I’ve tried is the Kate Somerville Eye Cream. My first impressions are good and I’m really liking it. I’m super excited to try the Sunday Riley Night Oil and Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector. I’ll be sure to share the superstars of this box once I have a chance to try them all out.

The snow has finally arrived here in Calgary (we actually got so much last week that the city was under a snowfall warning). If anyone has any suggestions on moisturizers or creams that help with dry skin during the cold winter I’d love some suggestions. I have a couple spot on my face that are notoriously dry, and it’s already driving me crazy.

Have you tried any of the products in the Sephora Favorites Beauty Sleep box? Which is your favorite?

L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner

Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner

I’m going to start off this review by sharing what my typical hair routine is looks like.

I wash my hair daily. Between workouts and having naturally greasy roots, it’s just something that I need to every day. In addition to washing it, I also blow dry my hair daily – which I know isn’t ideal, but it just has to happen. I don’t use any other hot styling tools like curling irons or straighteners. I also currently don’t color my hair. It’s probably been 10 years since the last time I did.

Now that you have a good idea of the state of my hair, I think it’ll be easier to share my thoughts on how the L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner affected my hair.

First and foremost, this shampoo and conditioner duo smell fantastic. I’m much more likely to use a product consistently (and even want to use it) if it smells good, so that’s always a good thing. The conditioner is thicker than the shampoo, which is usually the case.

The L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner both contain Pro-Keratin and Cicamide. They help to enhance the strength, density, vitality, shine, and silkiness of the hair. Unlike some shampoos and conditioners that can weight hair down, I didn’t find that with this one. In fact, I found that it actually added some volume, which is a good thing since I tend to have limp hair. My hair also feels healthier – softer and more shinier – than before I started using it.

I’m interested in trying out the L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Replenishing Mask, which goes along with the shampoo and conditioner. The next time I see it at the drug store I’m going to buy it. It has good reviews online.

The bottom line is that I’m happy with how this shampoo and conditioner duo worked for me hair. It gave my hair some extra volume while also making it softer and shinier. These are definitely something that I would buy again.

L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner is available at your local drugstore for $4 each.
